2025 Concacaf Gold Cup Draw Details Revealed: Groups to Be Decided on April 10

The official draw for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup is set to take place on April 10 at 7:00 PM ET, Concacaf announced. The televised event will determine the group stage matchups for the 18th edition of the tournament, which will feature 16 teams, including guest nation Saudi Arabia. 


Tournament Overview
The 2025 Gold Cup will be held from june 14 to July 6 across 14 stadiums in the U.S. and Canada, culminating in the final at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, the first time the championship match will be played in Texas. 

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup just a year away, this summer’s Gold Cup will serve as a crucial competitive platform for Concacaf’s top teams. 

Qualified Teams & Preliminary Round
Eight nations have already secured their spots via the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League: 
– Canada, Curaçao, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, USA 

Seven more teams will advance through the Gold Cup Preliminary Round (Prelims), where 14 nations compete in home-and-away playoffs on March 21 and 25. 

Draw Format & Seeding
The draw will use a double-blind system with eight pots: 
– Pot 1: Defending champions Mexico + three highest-ranked teams 
– Pot 2: Next four highest-ranked teams 
– Pot 3: Following four ranked teams 
– Pot 4: Three lowest-ranked Concacaf teams + Saudi Arabia
