Kerala Blasters suffered another loss in the Indian Super League. Mohun Bagan dominated the match, scoring three goals without any reply at Blasters’ home ground. This defeat has made it harder for Blasters to qualify for the playoffs. Playing at their home stadium, the Kochi Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Blasters hoped for a win. But things didn’t go as planned. In the 28th minute, Jamie Maclaren gave Bagan the lead. He scored after receiving a cross from Liston Colaco on the left side.
By the 40th minute, Bagan increased their lead. Maclaren scored his second goal, thanks to an assist from Jason Cummings. This left Blasters struggling to defend. At halftime, Blasters were down by two goals. In the second half, they tried to fight back but couldn’t break through Bagan’s strong defense. In the 66th minute, Alberto Rodriguez scored the third goal for Bagan, ending Blasters’ chances of a comeback. With 49 points from 21 matches, Bagan is now leading the league table, while Blasters are in eighth place with 24 points from 20 matches
