Quarter-Final Action Heats Up as Teams Battle for Glory in March 2 Final

The final eight teams will compete on Saturday and Sunday, with the champions to be crowned on March 2.

The first quarter-final on Saturday will see Saudi Arabia take on China PR. Saudi Arabia, who topped Group B, are looking to add a fourth title to their collection, having last won in 2018. Meanwhile, China PR, whose sole trophy came in 1985, are hoping for a historic win as the tournament hosts, having advanced to the knockout stage as the Group A runners-up.

Next up on Saturday will be Group A winners Australia against Iraq. Australia are eyeing their first-ever title, while Iraq, who finished as Group B runners-up, are chasing a sixth title, the first since their last triumph in 2000.

On Sunday, the action continues with Group C winners, the Islamic Republic of Iran, taking on Group D runners-up Japan in the first quarter-final. Iran, who finished the group stage with a perfect record of three wins, are seeking their first title since 1976, while Japan are hoping to repeat their 2016 win.

The final quarter-final will feature Group D winners, Korea Republic, facing Group C runners-up Uzbekistan. Korea Republic are aiming for a record-extending 13th title, having last won in 2012, but Uzbekistan will be tough opponents as they look to defend their title, which they won in 2023 on home soil.
