Barcelona Crush Dortmund 4-0 to Edge Closer to Champions League Semifinals

Barcelona took a massive step toward reaching the UEFA Champions League semifinals for the first time in six years after a dominant 4-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their quarterfinal clash. The match, played at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, saw the Catalan giants deliver a commanding performance.

Brazilian winger Raphinha opened the scoring in the 25th minute, giving Barcelona a deserved lead at halftime. After the break, Robert Lewandowski doubled the advantage with two quick goals in the 48th and 66th minutes, showcasing his clinical finishing. Teenage sensation Lamine Yamal capped off the night with a fourth goal in the 77th minute, leaving Dortmund with a mountain to climb in the second leg.

Last season’s Champions League runners-up, Dortmund, now face a near-impossible task when they host Barcelona at Signal Iduna Park next Tuesday. The winner of this tie will advance to face either Inter Milan or Bayern Munich in the semifinals.
