Al-Ahli Saudi FC Crushes Al-Fayha 5-0 in Historic League Performance

Al-Ahli Saudi FC delivered a dominant display on Friday, thrashing Al-Fayha 5-0 at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Matchweek 28 of the Roshn Saudi League. The win marks the largest margin of victory in the history of clashes between the two teams, further solidifying Al-Ahli’s stronghold in the league standings . 

Al-Ahli capitalized on Al-Fayha’s defensive struggles, particularly after the visitors were reduced to 10 men following their goalkeeper’s red card. The “Classy Ones” showcased clinical finishing, with key contributions from star players like Ivan Toney (who leads the team’s scoring charts this season with 16 league goals) and Franck Kessié.  The victory extends Al-Ahli’s unbeaten streak in recent weeks, highlighting their resurgence under manager Matthias Jaissle. 

With this win, Al-Ahli climbed to 55 points, securing 5th place in the league table, just behind Al-Qadsiah on goal difference .  Al-Fayha, meanwhile, remains in 13th place with 29 points, deepening their relegation concerns after their 11th loss of the season .
