Barcelona Stages Epic Comeback to Clinch Copa del Rey in Thrilling Final Against Real Madrid

In a dramatic and action-packed Copa del Rey final at Sevilla’s La Cartuja Stadium, Barcelona pulled off a stunning remontada to defeat arch-rivals Real Madrid 3-2 after extra time, securing their 32nd title in the competition.

The match began with early tension for Real Madrid, but Barcelona struck first with a thunderous long-range effort from Pedri in the 28th minute. The first half ended with the Blaugrana in control, leaving Los Blancos searching for answers.

Real Madrid, however, roared back in the second half after tactical substitutions by manager Carlo Ancelotti, introducing Kylian Mbappé, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Luka Modrić. The changes paid off as Mbappé fired in a spectacular free-kick in the 70th minute to equalize, before Tchouaméni put Madrid ahead moments later.

Just when it seemed Real Madrid would seal the victory, Barcelona fought back. Ferran Torres leveled the score in the 84th minute, sending the match into extra time. The decisive moment came in the 116th minute when defender Jules Koundé headed in the winner, completing a historic comeback.

The victory marks a triumphant moment for Barcelona in a season filled with challenges, while Real Madrid will rue missed opportunities after letting a late lead slip away. The thrilling encounter added another unforgettable chapter to El Clásico’s storied rivalry.
