Brazil Calls Up Real Madrid’s Endrick as Neymar Sidelined for World Cup Qualifiers

The Brazilian Football Confederation revealed on Friday that Real Madrid’s rising star, Endrick, has been called up to the national team to fill in for the injured Neymar. This decision comes ahead of Brazil’s crucial World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina this month.

Neymar, 33, was initially set to return to the squad but was ruled out after suffering a muscle injury.

### Danilo and Ederson Also Out:
Brazil’s head coach, Dorival Junior, has also made changes to the squad by calling up Flamengo’s Alex Sandro and Lyon’s Lucas Perri. Sandro will replace his Flamengo teammate Danilo, while Perri steps in for Manchester City’s Ederson.

In a statement, Dorival Junior explained: “The national team’s medical staff provided updates on the players’ conditions, particularly Danilo, Neymar, and Ederson, over the past few days. Following their assessments, we decided to bring in Lucas Perri, Alex Sandro, and Endrick.”

Neymar has been sidelined from the national team for more than a year after sustaining a knee injury in late 2023.
