Ittihad Club’s March Struggles: Only One Win in Saudi Roshn League Fixtures

Ittihad Club, based in Jeddah, faced a tough month of March in the Saudi Roshn League, managing just one victory in three matches. This makes March their least successful month of the season so far, with a single win, two draws, and several dramatic moments that underscored their challenges.

The club’s only win came in a thrilling 2-1 victory over Riyadh, with the winning goal scored in the closing moments of the match. Earlier in the month, Ittihad narrowly avoided defeat against Al-Qadsiah, scoring a late equalizer to secure a 1-1 draw. A similar scenario unfolded in their match against Al-Akhdoud, where they conceded a last-minute goal to end the game with the same scoreline.

With this round of fixtures completed, the Saudi Roshn League will now take a break as the Saudi national team turns its attention to World Cup 2026 qualifiers, facing China and Japan in critical matches.

March’s performance stands in sharp contrast to Ittihad’s earlier form this season. In August, the club won both of its matches, and in September, they claimed two victories out of three games. Under the guidance of coach Laurent Blanc, Ittihad enjoyed a perfect October, winning all four of their matches, and continued their strong run in November with three wins.

December saw the club play just one league match, which they won, while January brought mixed results with two wins, one draw, and one loss in four games. February was another strong month, with four wins and one draw in five matches.

As the league pauses, Ittihad Club will look to regroup and rediscover their winning form when the competition resumes. Fans will hope the team can bounce back from their March struggles and return to the consistency that defined their earlier performances this season.
