Kerala blasters sack Mikael Stahre

Kerala Blasters FC has parted ways with head coach Mikael Stahre following a series of disappointing performances in the ongoing season of the Indian Super League (ISL). Under Stahre’s leadership, the team struggled to find consistency, which led them to sit near the bottom of the league table. Despite high expectations at the start of the season, the team’s underperformance has sparked frustration among fans and management alike.

Mikael Stahre, a Swedish coach known for his tactical approach, joined Kerala Blasters with the hope of turning the team’s fortunes around after Ivan Vukomanovic. However, his tenure was marred by a series of poor results, leading to criticism of his tactics and squad management. Official fans associations also tried to boycott the matches due to poor organisation of the club. The Blasters’ inability to win key matches and lack of effective play in both defense and attack prompted the decision to part ways with him.

In the wake of Stahre’s departure, Kerala Blasters have appointed Tomasz Tchorz, the coach of the reserve team, as the interim manager. Tchorz, who has experience working with the younger players at the club, will now be tasked with stabilizing the team and guiding them through the rest of the season. His first challenge will be to reinvigorate the squad and help them climb the table, starting with a series of crucial matches. Fans and the club will be hoping that the interim management can provide a fresh direction for the team in the coming matches.
