PSV Eindhoven Stuns Juventus to Reach Champions League Round of 16

Defender Ryan Flamingo scored the decisive goal in extra time, leading PSV Eindhoven to a 3-1 victory over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League playoff second leg. The win overturned a first-leg deficit, securing PSV’s place in the Round of 16, while Juventus became the third Italian team to exit the tournament after AC Milan and Atalanta.

The match ended 3-3 on aggregate after 90 minutes, forcing extra time. Flamingo’s 98th-minute strike sealed the win. Juventus had a 2-1 lead from the first leg, but PSV leveled the tie with Ivan Perisic’s 53rd-minute goal. Timothy Weah restored Juventus’ lead, only for Ismail Sipari to equalize in the 74th minute.

PSV dominated chances in extra time, and Flamingo capitalized on a defensive error to score the winner. Perisic and Sipari were instrumental, with the veteran Croatian scoring a stunning goal and setting up Sipari’s close-range finish. Despite Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio’s heroics, PSV’s persistence paid off, earning them a well-deserved 4-3 aggregate victory.
