Saudi Football Star Salem Al-Dawsari Extends Contract with Al-Hilal Until 2027

Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal have officially announced the contract renewal of their captain and star player, Salem Al-Dawsari, for two additional seasons. The new deal ensures the 33-year-old winger will remain with “The Boss” until the summer of 2027, ending speculation about his future as his previous contract was set to expire in June 2025. 

Al-Dawsari, who has become a club legend, expressed his joy in a heartfelt post on his official X account, writing: “Loyalty means staying true to what you love… Thank you to those who wrote the stories and scripts,” hinting at the rumors surrounding his contract negotiations. 

With 443 appearances for Al-Hilal across all competitions, Al-Dawsari has cemented his legacy, scoring 130 goals and providing 95 assists. This season (2024-2025), he has been in exceptional form, netting 26 goals and delivering 17 assists in 46 matches. 

A pillar of Al-Hilal’s success, Al-Dawsari has won six Saudi League titles, five King’s Cups, and two AFC Champions League trophies, solidifying his status as a Saudi football icon. 

The contract extension puts an end to transfer rumors, reaffirming Al-Dawsari’s commitment to the club where he has spent his entire professional career. Fans will now look forward to more memorable performances from their beloved captain in the coming years.
