Saudi League Title Race Heats Up as Rivals Deliver Dominant Performances

Riyadh, October 19, 2025 – The Saudi Pro League title race received a massive surge of firepower this weekend, with both Al Nassr and Al Hilal delivering comprehensive 5-goal victories.

League leaders Al Nassr maintained their perfect start with a thumping 5-1 win over Al Fateh at Al-Awwal Park, spearheaded by a dazzling performance from Portuguese forward João Félix. Félix clinched his second hat-trick of the season, showcasing his lethal finishing and climbing to the top of the league’s scoring charts.
His compatriot, Cristiano Ronaldo, also made headlines, quickly shrugging off a missed penalty to score a spectacular goal from outside the box just a minute later. Kingsley Coman added the fifth goal to complete the rout, which was briefly leveled by Al Fateh’s Sofiane Bendebka early in the second half. Al Nassr now stands four points clear at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, Al Hilal kept the pressure on the leaders by demolishing Al-Ettifaq 5-0 in Dammam to climb to second place. The attacking duo of Darwin Núñez and Marcos Leonardo proved irresistible, with both players bagging a brace. The scoring was rounded off by a penalty converted by midfielder Rúben Neves. Núñez, in particular, was instrumental, scoring twice and providing an assist for one of Leonardo’s goals. The victory re-establishes Al Hilal’s title ambitions, leaving them just four points behind their fierce rivals Al Nassr after an exciting matchweek of high-scoring action.
