Klich Issues Stern Warning to Players Against Inter Miami Move

Former Polish international Mateusz Klich has issued a strong warning to players considering a move to Inter Miami, citing what he describes as a “catastrophic” and “chaotic” situation at the club under the influence of Lionel Messi’s father.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the 35-year-old midfielder, who has played for clubs in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, and England, and had a stint with D.C. United in the MLS, stated, “I do not recommend moving to Inter Miami as long as Messi is there.”

Klich’s comments shed light on significant organizational turmoil, claiming that “everyone is leaving the club, even coaches, doctors, and physiotherapists.” He pointed to a disorganized structure, saying, “there’s chaos on the organizational side because Messi’s father runs the club.” He added that Spanish is now the dominant language within the club, and “you can’t do anything without his father’s approval.

Messi, who joined Inter Miami in 2023 after a storied career with Barcelona and a brief period at Paris Saint-Germain, has been a dominant force on the field. The eight-time Ballon d’Or winner has scored 64 goals and provided 31 assists in 76 appearances for the American side. However, Klich’s remarks suggest that the club’s off-field operations are far from stable, despite the team’s superstar presence.
